Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh dandelion leaves
  • 1 tablespoon dried dandelion root
  • 4 cups water
  • Honey or sweetener to taste optional

Method
 

  1. Wash the dandelion leaves thoroughly under running water.
  2. Chop the leaves into smaller pieces to release their flavors more efficiently.
  3. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  4. Add the chopped dandelion leaves and dried root to the boiling water.
  5. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Strain the tea into a cup, discarding the solids.
  7. Add honey or sweetener if desired, and enjoy warm or chilled.
