Prepare ingredients
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for an additional minute.
Add the broccoli florets and sauté for about 3 minutes.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Stir in the orzo, reducing the heat to a simmer.
Cook until the orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the broth, about 10-12 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
