Crafting Dandelion Kombucha at Home

Dandelion Kombucha made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of loose black tea or 4 tea bags
  • 2 cups of fresh dandelion greens roughly chopped
  • 1 SCOBY or store-bought kombucha
  • 1 cup of starter kombucha

Method
 

  1. Boil the water and dissolve the sugar
  2. Add tea and steep
  3. Incorporate dandelion greens
  4. Add SCOBY and starter kombucha
  5. Cover and ferment
  6. Bottle and second fermentation (optional)
  7. Refrigerate and enjoy
