Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Brown the butter by melting it over medium heat until foamy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans carefully.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  11. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
