Decadent Cheddar Bay Seafood Pie for Home Cooks

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup scallops cut into quarters
  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream, stirring continuously until thickened.
  6. Mix in the shrimp, scallops, crab meat, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Pour the seafood mixture into the pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the filling.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  11. Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
