Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Guinness stout
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted Irish butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract for frosting

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the cake pans.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together.
  3. Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine dry and wet ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared pans.
  6. Bake the cake layers.
