Delicious and Fun Taco Wonton Cups for Any Occasion

Taco Wonton Cups made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup corn fresh, canned, or frozen
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a muffin tin and press wonton wrappers into each cup.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until fully cooked.
  4. Add taco seasoning, black beans, corn, and salsa to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  5. Cook the mixture for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Spoon the filling into the wonton wrappers, filling each cup generously.
  7. Top each filled cup with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the wonton cups are golden and crispy.
  9. Let the cups cool slightly before removing them from the tin.
  10. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with additional salsa, if desired.
