Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry curd
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Spread the cherry curd evenly over the batter.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter on top of the cherry curd.
  9. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters together.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
