Deliciously Spiced Crumbl Caramel Apple Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped apples peeled and cored
  • 1 cup caramel bits

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and caramel bits evenly into the dough.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
