Delightful Cookies and Buttercream Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. While the cookies cool, prepare the buttercream dip by beating the softened butter until creamy.
  10. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating on low speed until well combined.
  11. Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, beating until the mixture is fluffy and spreadable.
  12. Serve the cookies alongside the buttercream dip for a delightful treat.
