Delightful Heart-Shaped Quesadillas for Any Occasion

Heart-Shaped Quesadillas made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 1 cup cooked chicken diced
  • 1 medium bell pepper diced
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Sour cream or guacamole for serving

Method
 

  1. Prepare the filling ingredients.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Sauté onion and bell pepper until tender.
  4. Add the chicken to the pan and mix.
  5. Place one tortilla in the pan and layer half of the cheese on top.
  6. Spread the filling mixture evenly over the cheese.
  7. Top with the remaining cheese and cover with a second tortilla.
  8. Cook on each side until golden and crispy.
  9. Remove from the pan and use a heart-shaped cutter.
