Delightful Mini Pigs in a Blanket for Any Occasion

Mini Pigs in a Blanket made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package of mini cocktail sausages approximately 12 oz
  • 1 package of crescent roll dough 8 oz
  • 1 cup shredded cheese optional
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet with cooking spray or parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough and separate it into triangles as indicated on the package.
  4. If using cheese, place a small amount on each dough triangle before adding a sausage.
  5. Place a mini sausage at the wider end of each triangle and roll it up towards the point.
  6. Place the rolled mini sausages on the baking sheet, evenly spaced.
  7. Make an egg wash by beating the egg and brushing it over each mini pig before baking.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
