Stuffed Crust Pizza Rings made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2.25 tsp instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour and mix until combined.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  7. Roll the dough out into a large circle on a floured surface.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan on the outer edge of the dough.
  9. Fold the edge of the dough over the filling and press to seal.
  10. Transfer to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
  11. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning before baking.
  12. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Let the pizza rings cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  14. Slice and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
