Delightful Warm and Flaky Apple Cinnamon Croissants

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package of store-bought croissant dough 8 oz
  • 2 cups of peeled and diced apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the apple filling by combining diced apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Roll out the croissant dough and cut it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the croissants towards the pointed end, forming a crescent shape.
  6. Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops of the croissants with the egg wash.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
