Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella sliced
  • 1 cup ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients and prepare the workspace.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Assemble the sandwich: place a slice of sourdough in the skillet, layer with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, then top with another slice of bread.
  4. Drizzle olive oil on the top slice of bread before flipping it.
  5. Cook the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  6. Once cooked, remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it rest for a minute before cutting.
  7. Slice the sandwich and serve with additional balsamic glaze if desired.
