Ingredients

  • 1 pound white fish cod, tilapia, or sole
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil spray
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage green or purple
  • ½ cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • ½ cup sour cream or yogurt optional

Method

  1. Prepare the fish by cutting it into bite-sized pieces and seasoning it.
  2. In one bowl, mix together flour, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
  4. Dredge each piece of fish first in the egg, then in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the coated fish in the air fryer basket in a single layer, and lightly spray with olive oil.
  7. Cook the fish for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and cooked through.
  8. While the fish is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  9. Assemble the tacos by placing a few pieces of fish in each tortilla, then top with cabbage, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
  10. Add a dollop of sour cream if desired, and serve immediately.
