Fresh Spinach and Tomato Caprese Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 3 ripe tomatoes
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Wash the spinach thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds.
  3. Tear the mozzarella into bite-sized pieces or slice it if preferred.
  4. In a large salad bowl, combine the spinach, tomatoes, and mozzarella.
  5. Add the fresh basil leaves, drizzling with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to your liking, then toss gently.
  7. Serve immediately as a fresh appetizer or side dish.
