Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 small carrot grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 head of butter or romaine lettuce
  • Optional toppings: sliced cucumber jalapeños, sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Prepare your ingredients by grating the carrot and ginger, and chopping the green onions.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, and grated carrot to the beef. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, mixing well to coat the beef evenly.
  5. Stir in the chopped green onions and remove from heat.
  6. Prepare the lettuce wraps by carefully separating the leaves from the head and rinsing them under cold water.
  7. Spoon the beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf and top with optional garnishes if desired.
  8. Serve immediately, either as a main dish or as an appetizer.
