Pigs In a Blanket With the Works made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package of mini sausage links about 12 oz
  • 1 tube of crescent roll dough 8 oz
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mustard on each triangle.
  6. Place a sausage link at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up.
  7. Place the rolled pigs in a blanket on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
