Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk room temperature
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup boiling water

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the bundt pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  3. Mix wet ingredients separately.
  4. Combine dry and wet mixtures.
  5. Add boiling water to the batter.
  6. Pour batter into prepared bundt pan.
  7. Bake the cake.
  8. Cool the cake in the pan.
  9. Invert the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Prepare a glaze (optional), and serve.
