Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough about 12 oz
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz spicy soppressata sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for drizzling
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) or use a pizza stone when baking.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to approximately 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or pizza peel dusted with flour.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly across the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
  6. Distribute the sliced soppressata evenly over the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes over the entire pizza to taste.
  8. Drizzle olive oil over the top before baking.
  9. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  11. Garnish with fresh basil leaves just before serving.
