Savory Buffalo Chicken Taquitos for Game Day Feasts

Buffalo Chicken Taquitos made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 small flour tortillas
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Cooking oil for frying or baking

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until fully combined.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking. Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or oil.
  3. Take a tortilla and spoon approximately 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto the bottom third of the tortilla. Roll tightly, folding in the sides as you go to encase the filling.
  4. Place each rolled taquito seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet (or frying pan if frying) and brush lightly with oil for extra crispiness.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, turning once halfway through. If frying, cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven or frying pan and let cool slightly before serving. Pair with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
