Ingredients
  

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 3 medium onions
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Slice the onions thinly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced onions and salt to the pan.
  4. Cook for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. While onions are cooking, boil the spaghetti in salted water.
  6. Reserve some pasta water before draining the spaghetti.
  7. Add cooked spaghetti to the caramelized onions and mix well.
  8. Drizzle with chili oil and black pepper, adjusting to taste.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley.
