In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the garlic powder, black pepper, diced green onions, and half of the cheddar cheese, mixing until well combined.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as indicated on the package.
Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle, then sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Roll each triangle tightly from the wide end to the tip and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of each rolled bite for a golden finish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
