Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole turkey 12-14 pounds
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup scallions chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the innards and patting it dry.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and brush half of the glaze over the turkey.
  5. Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, basting it every 30 minutes.
  6. Once the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), remove it from the oven and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
  7. Drizzle the remaining glaze over the turkey and garnish with chopped scallions before serving.
