Savory Salmon Teriyaki Bites for Every Occasion

SALMON TERIYAKI BITES made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet skin removed
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare the salmon fillet by cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine teriyaki sauce and sesame oil.
  3. Add the salmon pieces to the marinade and let them sit for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated salmon bites on it.
  6. Bake the salmon bites for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.
  7. While the salmon bakes, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry.
  8. In a saucepan, add the leftover marinade and bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch slurry.
  9. Once the salmon is baked, drizzle with the thickened sauce and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
