Smash Burger Tacos: A Flavorful Fusion Delight

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1/2 cup pickles sliced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your griddle or large cast iron skillet.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form balls.
  3. Place beef balls on the hot skillet and smash down with a spatula.
  4. Season with salt and pepper immediately after smashing.
  5. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned before flipping.
  6. Flip the burgers and immediately place cheese on top.
  7. While the burgers are cooking, warm the tortillas on a separate pan or directly over the open flame.
  8. Assemble the tacos with smashed burgers and desired toppings.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy!
