Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the back.
Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry.
Rub the olive oil evenly over the ribs.
Combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this spice mix generously over both sides of the ribs.
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down.
Cover the baking sheet tightly with more aluminum foil.
Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
Remove the foil and brush the ribs with barbecue sauce.
Return the ribs to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.
Let the ribs rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
Slice the ribs between the bones and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
